OUR VISION

1. Association philosophy and tackling social issues Based on the philosophy of "solving social issues through technology and investment," the Hybrid Business Investment Association is tackling the complex challenges facing Japan. These include a declining birthrate and aging population, depopulation, a shortage of agricultural workers, energy issues, and increasing environmental impacts. These issues are all interconnected, and there are limitations to addressing them in a single area.
Our mission is to enhance the sustainability of local communities and contribute to the revitalization of Japan through an integrated investment and business model that spans multiple fields. Hybrid Business Investment Fund aims to be a "driving force for revitalization" that creates value together with local communities, rather than simply providing funds.

2. Hybrid biomass x hydroponic cultivation system The "hybrid system" promoted by our association is an advanced business model that combines biomass power generation and hydroponic cultivation. Using agricultural residues and unused biomass as fuel, the electricity and heat generated is supplied to hydroponic cultivation facilities. This achieves both energy self-sufficiency and agricultural efficiency.
Furthermore, hydroponic cultivation makes it easy to control the environment, significantly reducing the use of pesticides and chemical fertilizers, and enabling a year-round supply of safe and secure agricultural products. It can be introduced in both urban and rural areas, and is a platform for next-generation agriculture that will encourage young people to take up farming and lead to regional energy independence.

3. Industrial collaboration through magnesium oxide technology Our association focuses on the diverse application possibilities of magnesium oxide (MgO) and is developing a business that connects the agricultural, construction, and environmental fields. MgO can be used for a wide range of purposes, including soil improvement, fire prevention, insulation, and water purification.
For example, in hydroponic cultivation, using a medium containing MgO can improve root development and increase harvest efficiency. Furthermore, by using it as a building material with a low environmental impact, it can contribute to reducing CO₂ emissions in the construction industry. Introducing MgO-based technology will enable both a resource-circulating society and the creation of new industries.

4. Revitalizing the Wajima Biomass Power Plant and Regional Revitalization
In 2025, the Hybrid Business Investment Association acquired a biomass power plant in Wajima City, Ishikawa Prefecture, and launched a revitalization project in collaboration with the local community. In the area affected by the Noto Peninsula earthquake, the project aims to rebuild the plant as a hybrid type, rather than simply restoring it to a future-oriented recovery.
The facility will generate electricity using forest residues and food waste as fuel, and supply energy to surrounding agricultural facilities and the community. It will also house a hydroponic cultivation facility, creating jobs and promoting local food production and consumption. This initiative is a regional revitalization model that links energy, food, employment, and education, and is expected to be rolled out nationwide.

5. Future Outlook – The future envisioned by the Hybrid Business Investment Fund for a sustainable Japan is to "change Japan from the countryside." We believe that regions facing depopulation and disasters will be the starting point for new industrial models. By expanding the Wajima model nationwide and deepening collaboration with local governments, companies, and research institutions, we will build a new industrial foundation that integrates energy, food, and environmental conservation.
Furthermore, we are considering exporting our technology to overseas markets and taking on the challenge of solving global issues. By combining investment and technology, we will continue to grow as a "co-creation platform" that will ensure a sustainable future for Japan.

MISSION

Japanese society is currently facing multiple serious challenges. These include labor shortages due to a declining birthrate and aging population, a shortage of agricultural and fishing workers, depopulation in rural areas and the decline of local economies, dependence on imported energy, and increasing environmental impacts due to climate change. While these issues may appear to be separate at first glance, they actually interact with each other, creating a complex structure that threatens Japan's sustainability. For example, the shortage of agricultural workers is being exacerbated by the effects of aging and depopulation, leading to a decline in food self-sufficiency. Meanwhile, continued dependence on fossil fuels in energy is exacerbating environmental risks due to price fluctuations and greenhouse gas emissions.

The Hybrid Business Investment Fund proposes a new industrial model to comprehensively resolve these issues. First, we will establish a system for local energy self-sufficiency based on biomass power generation using unused biomass and agricultural residues. This will reduce dependence on energy imports, make effective use of local resources, and create jobs. Second, the electricity and heat generated will be supplied to hydroponic cultivation facilities, enabling stable agricultural production year-round. Hydroponic cultivation can be operated efficiently with little labor, making it an effective solution to the problems of an aging population and a shortage of farmers. Furthermore, the use of pesticides and chemical fertilizers will be minimized, allowing for safe and reliable agricultural products to be delivered to consumers.

Furthermore, our association will utilize magnesium oxide technology to promote new business collaborations across the fields of agriculture, livestock, construction, and the environment. Magnesium oxide helps improve the quality of livestock products as a feed additive, and when combined with agricultural by-products, it promotes resource circulation. Furthermore, by reusing it as an environmentally friendly building material, it contributes to reducing CO₂ emissions and developing sustainable infrastructure. In this way, the introduction of MgO-centered technology is a mechanism that simultaneously achieves the circular use of resources and high added value in industry.

In local communities, the revitalization of biomass power plants and the construction of new agricultural facilities will create employment opportunities for young people and curb population outflow from rural areas. In particular, the Wajima City project, which aims to achieve "future-focused reconstruction" rather than "restoration" in disaster-stricken areas, can serve as a model for regional revitalization applicable throughout Japan. Linking energy, food, employment, and education will enhance the sustainability of the entire region and contribute to narrowing the disparities between urban and rural areas.

In this way, the Hybrid Business Investment Fund will lead to the resolution of the complex issues facing Japan by developing a business model that integrates energy independence, agricultural efficiency, resource circulation, and job creation. Our greatest mission is not to simply support industry, but to present "integrated solutions" that will transform the very structure of society.
